family time

You all know what the tag line for the Olive Garden is? "When you're here, you're family." That's exactly how it felt today. Greg's mom made me feel very welcome. In fact, after we were seated and the waitress introduced herself, Greg's mom introduced us all as family. She brought up two of Greg's neices and a nephew with her. They were very cute. It was really nice to see, for the first time, Greg interacting with his family like that. I hope that this was a first of many meetings. We had such a nice time. I even got a hug from her as we left. That very simple gesture meant the world to me.
