martha stewart : crafts

An entire weekend off. Most excellent.
Saturday was NFL draft day, so Greg spent a great deal of the afternoon watching ESPN’s live coverage. He was very happy with the picks for the Cleveland Browns. And if Greg’s happy, then I’m happy too.
While Greg was watching the draft, I ventured out to Michaels.
The arts and crafts super store is now carrying a brand new line of craft products from none other than lifestyle guru, Martha Stewart. And as a devotee of all things Martha, I needed to be one of the first folks to check it out. It is probably one of the best branded and merchandised product lines that I have ever seen. I could have easily spent hundreds of dollars, but instead only spent around $30 for my first trip. For this visit, I focused on the food packaging items like the cupcake liners, baker’s twine, assorted tissue paper lining and gift tags. I also picked up a pen and marker in my signature color, persimmon (ok, it’s orange. But in Marthaland, it’s persimmon.)
Anyways, Greg and I need to buy a new house with a craft room for me and all of the supplies that I will inevitably buy from the Martha Stewart collection.
Plans for the today: more baking, laundry, relaxing, and I think we are going to go to the movies to catch a screening of Hot Fuzz.
